This is an entry level division designed for fun and affordability. This class is to remain STOCK except for the following rules;
We are only going to list what you can do. We are not going to list the hundreds of things you cannot do! If you have questions, call and ask first.
The race car must pass safety tech to be allowed on the track. This is where your primary focus and responsibility needs to be.
A six point, full perimeter using 1.50 inch outside diameter, 095 thick magnetic steel tubing is required.
The roll cage must be securely fastened using a minimum of .250 inch plating to mount the cage to the frame.
A minimum of three door bars on the driver's side and two door bars on the passenger side.
A minimum of 1.25" outside diameter cross bar is required across the top of the halo bar.
A minimum of three windshield bars and protective screen is required in front of the driver.
The front and rear firewalls must remain stock and any holes patched with magnetic steel.
Any approved racing seat is permitted, a full containment seat is recommended.
A fire extinguisher needs to be safely mounted and within the driver's reach.
Mirrors will not be allowed.
Gutting of the car will not be permitted.
The interior must remain open. No boxing of the interior permitted.
All roll cage bars within driver's reach must be padded.
After market hubs are legal.
Spring rubbers are permitted.
Maximum of five degrees camber permitted on any wheel.
A quick release steering wheel will be permitted.
Your personal TRANSPONDER is mandatory and must be located in right rear area of car.
Only OEM 13,14,15 or 16" passenger tires. No racing, mud or snowtires allowed.
Maximum wheel width is 7"
All tires must remain inside of the fenders. Factory wheel width will be measured and must remain stock.
Front and rear tow hook must be easily accessible.
Station Wagon's, convertibles, 2-seat sports cars are not permitted.
Rear wheel drive cars are permitted.
The inner fenders must remain unaltered.
All doors must be positively and securely fastened.
Replacement metal can be aluminum or steel.
The hood and trunk lid/hatchback must be positively and securely fastened.
All glass, exterior lights, chrome, plastic trim and hood insulation must be removed.
Electrical shut off switch is required.
Car # must be at least 20" tall and be in contrasting colors and placed on the door and roof.
All cars must look professional.
Fuel lines that pass through the driver compartment, must be magnetic steel.
A maximum of 93 octane fuel with no performance additives.
The gas tank/fuel cell may be mounted ahead of the rear axle with a minimum 1/8th inch shield mounted under it. Fuel cell will be a maximum of sixteen (16) gallons.
If the gas tank/fuel cell is mounted behind the rear axle, the gas tank/fuel cell must be replaced with a maximum of eight (8) gallon fuel cell, relocated to the trunk area of the car.
The cell must be mounted with two (2) solid magnetic steel straps around the entire cell, two (2) inches wide and .0125 inches thick.
A magnetic steel or fuel cell cover must be between the driver and the fuel cell.
A fuel cell vent, including cap vent, must have a check valve. If the fuel cell does not have an aircraft-type positive seal filler neck, the flapper, spring and/or ball type filler roll-over valve is mandatory.
Engine will be teched in different areas & compared to original engine specs.
Headers are allowed.
Removal of the catalytic converter, air conditioning compressor and smog pump will be permitted.
Maximum horsepower is 225 (per chassis dyno).
Differential may or may not be locked.
Engine and all electronics must remain OEM.
Engine claim rule - $1,200 only pertains to top 3 finishers, no reverse protests. Only one protest per year, per driver. (Engine claim includes everything except the header).
Minimum 2200 lbs. with driver after race.
